It's fairly repetitive, not much variation whatsoever-- but it's looping so I guess it's a loop? I like the beat either way though. It's really chill and I think this could become a fantastic song if there was some variation and some lyrics and whatnot. Overall though, I was moving to this a little bit. nice!

I actually did record a song to it. I don't like the way my producer made it sound, though so I'm having him redo it. Once it's done, I'll definitely put it on here. Thanks!

Honestly, 1:24 was when I started liking this song. I like it when pianos mix in nicely with the music. You incorporated it well. You are right, it is repetitive, but, it's not bad! I feel like I can see this song as like some ending credits song lol.

Shanemsvlog responds:

Thanks lol!

You know, i'd love to do background vocals to this. I don't know why I feel that'd be so chill. But, who made this track!?! I'm seriously in love with it and I want the instrumental. Nice vocals, nice everything. Vocal effects are definitely something I know you will touch up before you finish it. Nice work! I can't wait to hear the full version!

NeoAlchemist247 responds:

For sure for sure. I can't release the instrumental because Moe B owns the rights to it. I can send you a copy of the song for whatever idea it is that you've got for vocals. That would require some discussion between us first, however.

The voice mixing with the music is a bit weird, actually. I love it all, really. The lyrics are awesome, and the song-- damn. My only problem is the mixing with the voice and song. It sounds like the voice is stuck in a box...I don't know what it is. huh... Sorry I'm so late reviewing this.

NeoAlchemist247 responds:

It's all good. Yeah, I can agree that something is off about the EQ on this track. Sometimes I have a hard time getting my vocals to sounds natural- and sometimes it happens because I subconsciously turn down my vocals because I don't like the way my voice sounds. But this one is more or less because of the Josephine quality. Check out inquest 2- I made it with a better microphone.

The pad in the beginning: So smooth, so flawless. The gate was effective as well. I loved the beat starting at 1:09, I just wish it was a smidge stronger. But it wasn't so weak that it made the entire song unlistenable. I think a piano track somewhere in here would've worked out nicely, too. But then again, I think the piano would work well in a lot of songs. But this one in particular would do nicely with a soft piano track in the background. The song itself is so upbeat, it had me moving! I can tell some serious work went into this one. Nice, nice, nice work!

deadbea7 responds:

thanks! positive reviews are awesome to see. i actually wrote out a keyboard part, but i was reluctant to use it. it just made it seemed "crowded" to me. i may do a "remix" and mix it properly to get it to fit in the song. thanks for the awesome review!

Well damn. You sure did get creative with the name, didn't you? Heh, this, I have to admit, is sick. The drop at 0:53, I was done. I agree that the mastering could be touched up a little bit. The piano chords could use a little touch up too-- so they aren't as harsh. Maybe a medium reverb effect? (It wouldn't be a super reverb-y...but just enough so I doesn't sound so raw). The variation in this song keeps me interested the entire time-- it's not repetitive at all. Overall, I loved it! I was sad when it ended... >.>

Demonicity responds:

well im not good at the creativity of names so i decided to take that from the voice glitching :D

great! This beat seriously, though...I want an instrumental so I can just sing to this. But the chorus is so good for that 'mediocre equipment". The vocals are awesome to. Wonderful re-release! As always, good work here!

NeoAlchemist247 responds:

Thanks! I worked really hard on this one, and sometimes I feel like I start making mistakes after spending so much time deeply wrapped up in a track. I really appreciate the compliment. The instrumental is available on ESTAR48's newgrounds profile.

At first I was like: Why is the beat so weak? I love the chord synth but...that beat...
Then around 0:15 the true origin of the beat came in and It made my eardrums so happy...I love everything about this song. The bass, the vocals coming in after about 1:00, the synths, the gates, the speed, everything was so fluid and well-placed. The square synths were very nice touches. I just want to know where you got those vocals from...they are so good and the effects put on them are simply trance-inducing. I really don't have anything bad to say about this song. By the name "squares n' stuff" I was thinking: Oh, man..this is just another song made by some kid just learning how to use a synthesizer.
...but man, was I blown away. Fantastic track.

kasola responds:

Sorry I fooled you with the track name!

I updated the description to show where the vocals came from. As for processing, it's mostly chorus, ping-pong delay and reverb!

This sounds like a song that would appear on some game on my SNES, especially at 0:31. It was fun to listen to-- very fun. The beat was so unique and was at just the right volume. I loved this mash-up. Very, very nice. Wonderful work here.

Metroidrayquaza51 responds:

^^ thanks! I wanted to follow a retro-feel to the tune so I did the best I could.

Yes! This is getting me moving, honestly. The synth choice from the chords is literally out of this world, I'm enjoying it a lot, and at 1:49 I got a bit of chills! The strings, that was a wonderful add! The gating synth, everything flowed so nicely. I say this a lot,, but I really think a piano track somewhere in here work so nicely. Even if it was in the background, the piano would work wonderfully. I was in a daze with this song, I liked it a lot and in fact, I'm gonna download it now. You take the classic house genre and classic characteristics and make them extremely unique and I like that a lot. Fantastic work here, I look forward to more!

RasmusiBoy responds:

Thanks for your kind words and suggestion!! :)

I make music so I can listen to it. Sharing it isn't all that bad, either. :P
